Mexico’s Best Kept Secret
Main Pool at Chable Resort and Spa in Yucatan, Mexico
Chable Resort and Spa can best be described as modern luxury amid ancient walls restored from a 19th century hacienda spread over 750 acres in the heart of the Mayan jungle.
10 years in the making it’s evident that every detail was carefully considered and you can easily see why it was awarded the 2017 Prix Versailles Award for Best Designed Hotel in the world.
A spa within a cenote, a farm-to-table culinary experience designed by one of Mexico’s best chefs, Jorge Vallejo- wellness centered activities & the world’s largest tequila collection are just a few of the reasons you should consider making Chablé your next must visit destination.
Below is a recap of our personal experience and some tips & recommendations on how to enjoy all Chablé has to offer.
Upon arriving at Chable we were warmly greeted with an insightful tour of the lovely grounds. We were then taken to our 1,700 sq. ft. casita complete with a private pool and outdoor living room. The indoor/outdoor shower was easily one of our favorite features. (along with many, many others)
Once settled in we made our way to the spa where we had a consultation with the spa director, Carmelina, who helped us choose treatments best suited for us based on our specific needs.
After a long day of travel we decided to relax in our well appointed casita for the evening and order room service. Our meal arrived promptly and the taste and presentation blew us away. Whether we ordered room service or we were dining at Ki’ol or Ixi’im every single thing we ate was incredible. We loved the farm to table concept and the use of ancient Mayan harvesting techniques growing fruits, vegetables and herbs in raised garden beds called “Ka’anche’s.”
Each morning an ‘eye opener’ is delivered to your villa or casita consisting of freshly baked pastries and coffee or tea if you prefer. After a small bite to eat and a morning dose of caffeine yoga by the cenote was our favorite way to start the day.
Other activities you can choose from include chocolate making, tequila tasting (Ixi’im has over 3,000 bottles, the worlds largest collection!), a traditional Yucatán cooking class, tennis, archery, bike tours, specialty fitness classes and so much more.
To the right is a collection of some of our favorite memories and experiences during our stay at Chablé. We’d be happy to answer any questions you have about the property and assist you with booking your upcoming stay! We’ll ensure you are well taken care of thanks to our personal relationship we have with the Chablé staff.
Chable Resort is where we chose to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. We can highly recommend it for a special anniversary trip or a romantic, secluded honeymoon destination as well. The 2 large villas would make a great family or group accommodation due to their large living spaces and private pools.
